Mail Delivery Times and Realistic Expectations

Change of Address: Mail Delivery Times and Realistic Expectations.

Good post on a much-misunderstood subject, especially around Standard mail delivery times.

Something to add, at MTAC we have had a difficult time getting the USPS to understand that mailers want predictable delivery, and that early delivery is just as bad as late in some cases.  Consistent and predictable delivery should be considered just as important as speedy delivery.

  1. Yes! For some mailings it’s like they say, “timing is everything”. We did more than one mailing in the past 30 days, for different customers who were concerned about mail hitting too early. The mailings were supposed to hit the mail boxes the last 7-10 days of May but we also didn’t want them to hit too late. Had to figure there would be an increase in advertising mail for the Memorial Day Sales so it was a little tricky.
