President Donald Trump Pressured US Postmaster General Megan Brennan to Change Package-Delivery Deal With Amazon

…But the Postal Service says hiking their package contracts (which remain private) would only help competitors. “Some of our competitors in the package delivery space would dearly love for the Postal Service to aggressively raise our rates higher than the marketplace can bear—so they could either charge more themselves or siphon away postal customers,” a Postal Service spokesman wrote in the Hill. Adding further confusion, Trump’s aides disagree on whether Amazon is paying enough or keeping the Postal Service in business. And some White House officials say Trump is only attacking Amazon because of articles published in the Post, which is owned by Amazon founder Jeffrey Bezos.

Botched USPS ACS Billing

without comments

If you are using USPS Single Source ACS, check your April bills carefully.  Users have reported grossly overstated bills, which USPS has acknowledged.  The bills are being corrected, but no widespread notification went out.  Many Single Source users have automated systems paying the bills, and are at risk of being overcharged.  Additionally, documentation of new Product Codes is nowhere to be found, so that new charges can be referenced.

Discouraging use of Address Correction Services in this manner is not good for mailers, mail owners, or the Postal Service.  The latest billing cycle has been discouraging at best.
