The USPS Board of Governors, in the spirit of NFL kickoff tonight, punted…no pricing signal from today’s meeting, we will have to wait for the next meeting later this month.

USPS Full Service Education and Resources

Effective January 26, 2014, the use of Full-Service Intelligent Mail is required to qualify for automation prices for First-Class Mail® postcards, letters, and flats, Standard Mail® letters and flats, Periodicals® letters and flats and Bound Printed Matter® flats.

To learn about the benefits and requirements of Full-Service the Postal Service has scheduled the following webinars:

o    September 9, 2013 – Getting Started with Full-Service

USPS augments computer network to handle ever-expanding services

USPS is counting on the security and reliability of its network to introduce new products and services.

For instance, the service says it handles 13 million emails a day, supports 125,000 desktop computers, 21,000 laptops, 11,000 BlackBerry devices and 310,000 handheld scanners.  USPS also holds 23 petabytes of storage capacity, holds more than 50,000 online meetings a month and maintains more than 47,000 point of sale terminals nationwide.
