Postal Affairs Blog Post #2,000

with one comment

Marking a milestone for the Postal Affairs blog — this post marks post #2,000.  The first post went up in August 2008, so in 2013 we will be marking the 5th anniversary.

Postal is always interesting, and often surprising-rarely dull.  I hope the Postal Affairs blog has been useful for you, and we’re looking forward to many more posts to come.

Best wishes, and thank you,

Lisa

Columbus Day in United States

without comments

Columbus Day in United States.

Columbus Day is observed by the USPS – no mail today.

When I was in grade school, Columbus Day was a big deal, and kicked off the Fall-themed craft projects such as Ninas, Pintas, and Stanta Marias.  Columbus Day was also a school holiday, invariably falling around my birthday, so Columbus was ok in my book.

Unfortunately, Columbus hasn’t stood up very well through the years.  Lots of controversy.  For me, the present reality is – no mail today.
