Registration Requirements –
Participants (and/or mail service providers acting on the customers behalf) in the 2012 Promotion will be required to register for the promotion, and agree to its terms, at least 24 hours prior to the first qualifying mailing. The registration process will also ask mailers to specify which permits will be participating in the promotion, and to agree to participate in a survey at the end of the promotion period. Sen. Tester questions Postal executive salaries as USPS considers drastic cuts

Sen. Tester questions Postal executive salaries as USPS considers drastic cuts : PostalReporter News Blog.

With the National deficit at record levels, I wonder how much of a cut – or a give-back – Senator Tester is willing to provide from his own salary?

Some of these politicians (ok, just about all of them) are so entirely clueless it is unbelievable.  Many of these articles read like the PMG is  a mean guy closing postal facilities just for the hell of it.  Congressional inaction, money shell games, ridiculous pre-funding mandates, and a not-in-my-district mentality has greatly contributed to the USPS financial mess.  Congress has no room to criticize.  Come up with a better plan.

USPS says piecemeal approach to cost-savings plan won’t do

without comments

The Postal Service’s revamped five-year business plan, which is aimed at putting the troubled agency on firmer financial ground, is made up of a number of elements.

Lawmakers have championed some of them, such as allowing USPS to move employees from the federal health-insurance plan to an independent program. But the Postal Service says the most effective way to stave off a further downward financial spiral is not through a piecemeal approach to its measures.

USPS Consolidation and Mail Tracking-Time to Take a Fresh Look

without comments

Although I make it a point to avoid doing any selling via this blog, I feel so strongly about the USPS network consolidation changes and the effect they will have on mailers,  I owe it to my readers to put our services out there.  Never before has direct mail tracking been so important, and so critical. Change, even for the better, brings a great deal of uncertainty into play.  Smart and savvy mailers and marketers are already taking advantage of the operational and marketing data that IMb Tracing provides, if you aren’t already on board, it is time to take a fresh look at all of the options and benefits.

“Fresh Look” will be the theme for us over the coming weeks and months.  Intelisent will be exhibiting at the National Postal Forum in April.  We have free exhibit hall passes – if you need a pass, get in touch.  In the meantime, we are booking custom, personalized, and private online demos of our mail tracking system and professional services – including consulting, postal strategies, mobile barcode tracking, and direct mail-email trigger marketing applications.

Contact me directly at Lisa.Bowes@intelisent.com, and take a fresh look at what you are currently doing, and what you could be doing better.  You may not even realize what you are missing out on.  Don’t get left behind.
