Hallmark Introduces Postage-Paid Greetings for Mother’s Day – postalnews blog.

This is such a great idea, simple, and simply excellent.  The cards look great, and will make mailing cards so much easier!  What do you think, will you be sending pre-paid postage greeting cards?

Thoughts on USPS Grow Your Business Days and Every Door Direct Mail

with 3 comments

I am trying really hard to embrace and support the Every Door Direct Mail program.  For a small local business, who does not currently mail, the program is a great way to get started and on a path to grow both their business and their mailings.  However, what I have a problem with is the USPS marketing.

For example.  This is from the current PCC Insider, an article about Grow Your Business Days:
“The Postal Service is increasing its efforts to connect with smaller companies and local merchants to alert them to offerings that make it easier and less expensive to do business with us,” said Paul Vogel, president and chief marketing/sales officer. “This is the spirit behind Grow Your Business Days.”

This indicates to me that the regular USPS programs are DIFFICULT and EXPENSIVE!  And they are NOT.

A simple tweak, and it becomes “make it easy and inexpensive to get started doing business with us”

What do you think?

PRC says USPS discriminated against Gamefly – postalnews blog

without comments

The Commission directed the Postal Service to modify its Mail Classification Schedule for round-trip DVD mail. The Postal Service was given 60 days to implement the remedy. This is the first case decided under the Commission’s new complaint process.

PRC says USPS discriminated against Gamefly – postalnews blog.

This is a favorable outcome to the new complaint process, and in my opinion, the PRC came to the right conclusions, and took the right action.  Mail customers have a voice.
