FAST Restored

Attention FAST Users,

The FAST application and Web Services are now available for all users. The USPS maintenance affecting the FAST application is now complete.

All messages that were queued to FAST from PostalOne! have processed normally.

We apologize for any inconvenience during the extended outage window.

If you have any problems or issues please contact the USPS FAST Help Desk at fast@usps.gov.

FAST Update

Attention FAST Customers,

Please be advised the USPS maintenance error affecting the FAST application continues to be worked with all urgency. You will be advised when application services are restored.

As we previously notified you PostalOne! messages are being queued and will be processed when the outage is complete.

Hourly updates will be provided.

FAST Outage – Intelligent Mail Full Service

At this point, FAST has been out of service since 4am – 14 hours.  This is an example of an integral Full Service Intelligent Mail required system with an unscheduled outage.

What system do you use, (online banking, ecommerce, etc ) that routine maintenance threatens an extended outage?  Instability does not give users a warm and fuzzy feeling…

A good system is one that people will use, even if usage isn’t mandated.  That should be the goal of all things Full Service Intelligent Mail.

Update from FAST at 6pm Eastern:

Attention FAST Customers,

Please be advised that the maintenance scheduled for this morning which impacted the FAST application is still in progress. Technical difficulties have prevented completing the outage during the planned window. All efforts are being made to resolve the problem and you will be notified when all services are restored.

PostalOne! is available and at this time all messages are being queued to FAST and will be processed as soon as the FAST application is back online.

Hourly updates will be provided.

FAST Still Out

As of 2pm Eastern, FAST is still not accessible.  Outages of any duration cause issues for an industry that runs 24/7.

A notice from FAST came over at 11am.  Will post any updates here when they come in.

Attention FAST Customers:
Completion of this maintenance has been delayed. You will be notified as soon as maintenance has been completed.
On Sunday, July 25, the USPS Network will be performing maintenance from 4 am CT until 10 am CT.
FAST users will not have access to FAST. FAST Web Services messages will not be available during this time period. Questions and inquiries should be directed to the FAST Help Desk @ fast@usps.gov.
