Full Service Intelligent Mail

without comments

If you are going to be doing Full Service Intelligent Mail, why? Please respond with a comment to this blog.

Most Standard and First-Class mailers considering utilizing Full Service are doing so with the only motivation being to collect the meager discount ($1 per thousand Standard, $3 per thousand First-Class).  Mailers who have made huge investments in order to deliver the technical requirements of Full Service may need to pass some of those costs, in order to recoup some of their investments.

The USPS really believes that the Full Service “benefits” are going to motivate Full Service use, but they are mistaken.  Too many questions remain, too many things are still broken, and mailers aren’t convinced the benefits are really worth much when they are straightened out.  We’re starting the countdown to November 29th, it should be an interesting December after that.
